I considered getting a remote programming kit from Diesel Laptops, but want to be confident first that a reflash would get it out of derate.Product Description Isuzu IDSS Diagnostic Software I am just wondering if the group has a workaround for this before it gets towed to the dealer. It looks like the DEF module may need to be reflashed to get rid of this derate… I don't see enough Isuzus to justify IDSS. DEF has been tested, both NOX sensors are same when not dosing DEF. I performed a procedure I found in service info, unplugging a sensor to create a code, plugging it back in and clearing codes - then perform the resets and regen again… no luck.

The derate light is still on, no codes in any module. The aftertreatment system is working perfect, when dosing DEF there is a 75% or more reduction in NOX, less than 20 ppm at 2,500 RPM. The 1036 code cleared out shortly after performing this procedure. The shop replaced the NOX2 and I did the appropriate resets and regen with Texa. The NOX 2 was bad causing false DEF quality derate. The truck initially had a P1036 - NOX sensor heater performance 2. This truck has the EXH SYSTEM message, derate lamp, and flashing DEF lamp.
